M is a swaddle addict. She’s loved it since the day she was born, and it’s been a great calming mechanism for us to use with her. She’s also been a magical sleeping baby unicorn and I think a large part of that is because of the swaddle.
Here is an ode to the swaddle, in photos:
And then there was this:
Um, yeah. We don’t exactly know how she did this.
I think our swaddle days are numbered. This mostly happened because my husband isn’t a great swaddler, but she’s also showing signs of possibly rolling soon. We are working on getting rid of it…slowly.

Yikes!! Good luck momma. Quitting cold turkey worked for us. Hope she adjusts well
My daughter was a swaddled baby. We couldn’t swaddle her tight enough. We did it for four months!
Loved your day in the life with Ashley.
Thanks!
She will be 4 months on Monday…I just ordered the Merlin sleep suit and it will be here tomorrow. I tried a few naps with 1 arm out and it was a train wreck. Lets see how this sleep suit works!
My son loved his swaddle too! We used the miracle blanket and loved it. Transitioning him out was hard, but slowly he just grew out of it and wanted his hands out.
Stopping by from your day in the life post on Ashley’s blog.
I’m hoping she will want her hands at some point. Right now she just keeps smacking herself in the face! She loves to chew on them when she’s NOT tired, so maybe eventually it can help be a calming tool for sleep z
