Ok, M is nearly 8 months old now so this post is WAY late. We’ve been traveling a LOT, I got another cold, and basically I work during all naps. Blogging has definitely taken a backseat recently.
Here we go!
7 months old….it’s such a fun age.
Nicknames: Cheeksies, Sugar Bug, Madeleenie Tortilleni, Miss Bitty, Bug. Same as last month.
Likes: Queen sized beds, the jumperoo, being outside, swimming, teethers, throwing (but not eating) food, drinking water, playing in your highchair, dancing with daddy to Funky Friday’s on 98.9, 5am.
Dislikes: Having your hair washed, the pediatrician, being put down.
Milestones: Throwing things, untying things, banging things together (seeing a pattern?). You also took your first airplane ride to Ohio and you did awesome on the plane! You nursed basically during all of the flights, but hey, you weren’t fussy. You’re trying to crawl, but end up face-planting most of the time and it makes you mad. You’ll get there soon!
Weight/Height: 16.5 lbs and not sure on height.
Clothing Size: 6 months, 6-9 months, and 9 month clothing.
Sleep: One of the reasons I’m so behind in blogging is because sleep was terrible during month 6. First, the entire family got a cold and you were stuffy for nearly 2 weeks. Poor M, it was horrible! Then, you decided to LOL at your crib and decided that queen beds were the only way to sleep. We had a handful of nights were we got an 8 hour stretch, but most nights we were lucky to get a 5 hour stretch. You’re eating a lot overnight and I think it’s because you’re burning more calories during the day and are so active that sometimes you forget to eat. We’re basically co-sleeping about 75% of the time, and you nap in our bed. We’ll kick you out before college.
Random Tidbits: You are so serious, and you study everyone and everything. People make comments on how you stare them down. You love to put everything in your mouth—sunglasses, iphones, shoes, anything you can get your hands on. You’ve got a huge personality when you’re not being serious, you’re so friendly and outgoing. You love other babies and kids and love when we go to playdates, storytime, the park, yoga, or anywhere that we can see other little people.
How are Mommy and Daddy Doing?: We’re tired, but happy. We could all use a nap.
